Rookie Mistake

Apparently, we aren't the best parents in the world. After getting diagnosed with her fourth ear infection, Dr. Davis gave us some samples of a different antibiotic. I liked not having to pay for the drug but this time, we had to mix the stuff ourselves. Now, you're probably thinking that's where we screwed up. It isn't. Along with the antibiotic, he gave us some Motrin. The dose for the Motrin was supposed to be 1/2 tsp. The dose for the antibiotic was supposed to be 1 1/2 ml. This is where we screwed up. We have been giving her 1/2 tsp of both for the past week, which happens to be almost twice as much as 1 1/2 ml. So, Lezlie freaked out and called the hospital exchange. They freaked her out even more when they told her to call the poison control center immediately. So, she called and they asked a few questions--what medicine, what dosage, and whether she had eaten lately. She had so the lady said not to worry, but she may spit up or have diarrhea. During all this, I stayed calm. My theory was that we had given her the same dosage for almost a week and she hadn't puked yet. She was just getting an extra dose. And, the engineer in me knew they would make this stuff so that even if idiots like us doubled the dose, no harm would be done.

Other than that, our week has been pretty non-eventful. It seems like now rolling over onto her stomach is now a reflex. If you put her on her back, she immediately tries to flip. But, she's still having trouble going belly to back. Here a funny video of her...
